a trip down memory lane....

Have I told you how happy I am that I began this adventure called "a blog"? I hesitated for a while but as I look back and read the post from years gone by, I'm one happy camper!!

I love that I have a record of all the little incidental memories that weren't just about the massive family holiday that takes place once a year..(if your lucky)! My bog reflects my life, my loves and my thoughts. I love that it is here for the kids to read when they want to. I would have loved to read this kind of stuff about my life!!!

I'm choosing to embrace the technology for my kids and their kids. Fancy reading about the life of your Grandma? Seeing how things have changed, people and places!

I get excited as I write again! Life is what we do everyday. It gets so busy that is is very easy to forget the time when we made bread glasses in the kitchen

or when the clowns made us laugh

The special hugs that last one second so you have to be quick!!!

The Easter Hat parade at school

Hugs with the Grandparents

stealing a kiss with daddy

It's about counting the blessing each and every day, big and small!

I actually find myself flicking back over my own posts!!! Fancy that!! I'm stalking myself!! lol

Her are a few favs....

I encourage you to start a blog if you have been thinking about it! Go for it!!
Just Do It!!!!

Farm House Dream

I dream of running away to a farm. To have my lungs filled with fresh air and the kids playing freely in the wide open spaces. I think this is what I dream about. No rusty old cottages for me!!!

Yep enough room for everyone!!!!
See you there!!!
Enjoy your sunny weekend my friends!!!

The Art Barn

So the school holidays came and went. I was so sick with the flu that I wanted to die! Seriously I would have coped better with child birth again!!!

My poor cherubs helped themselves to breakfast, watched too much TV, played ipods and had the occassional rant at each other. I felt so guilty that I wasn't the 'fun' stay at home mum on holidays that I had to make it up to them. Mother's guilt makes us do so many things ALL for the wrong reasons!!!

I deceided to try a little local art centre that is totally decked out for kids. Check out the paint shirts!!! They even supply them!!!

Each child, plus an extra (my niece), were able to choose their item to paint! That takes a good 20 mins!!! Then they go to town!!! Paints suppied, paint brushes, the works!! I sat their watching with a box of tissues under my arm...no photos of me thankyou!!!!

Can you see the "Dora the Explorer" under all that purple paint?

Eldest went for the "dolphin"

Sarah had to paint her puppy.

a selection of paints

"Batman" is complete. Now for the glossy spray.

our final creations!!

I totally recommend this place for keeping the gang happy. Brownie point for mum!! I'm a winner!!!

Room Reveal

Ok I kept you waiting over night. I'm sorry. The real reason is that I was soooo tired I couldn't keep my eyes open to continue the post!!

After two weeks I was able to put my babies back into their room. They were excited and happy that the room that once was a combination of old and new furniture, hand me downs and just a plain mess has become a place  they can call their own!!!

I started with the doona cover each and tried to tie in the rest of the room based around the fabric
It was hard to choose colours that suited both boy and girl! I guess shared rooms aren't the rage these days!!!  lol

it still needs a few 'pretty' touches but I'm really happy with the result!!!
